I am originally from the United States, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Systemic Marriage and Family Therapy, before moving to the United Kingdom, where I completed a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology (University of the West of England, 2018).

Through my degrees and further post-qualification study, I have trained in a number of therapeutic approaches. These include:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)

  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)

  • Relational Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

  • Systemic Couple and Family Therapy

I developed a special interest in Perinatal Mental Health/Maternal Mental Health early in my career and have significant specialist training and experience in this area of practice.

I hold professional registrations with the HCPC (Registered Practitioner Psychologist) and the British Psychological Society (Chartered Member) and I adhere to the professional and ethical standards of practice of these bodies.
